2024 Wrap Up

2024 has been quite the year.  Here’s a brief look back at some of the highlights.

In January I signed with my managers Joseph Cavalier and Chris Coggins at Heroes & Villains Entertainment and set off on a year of general meetings and exciting conversations about several of my projects.

I was absolutely thrilled to receive the news that I’M SORRY, I TRIED, I LOVE YOU had been nominated for Best Short Drama by NewFilmmakers LA and even more thrilled to win Best Film Editing for my editing work on the short.

And then I’M SORRY also received a nomination for best Sound Design at the Simi Film Festival.

I’M SORRY closed out its festival run this year with two final screenings here in California.

With a brand new short script ready and waiting plus two features in the works, I’m looking forward to the journey that the next project takes me on.

And a major highlight of this past year was having the honor to speak on a panel moderated by the ever delightful Heather Cook and sharing the stage with the fabulous Westin Lee and Maria Ramos to talk about our diverse paths along our creative careers in writing, production, and video games.

10/10 would do again.

Here are just a few of the highlights of the recognition my scripts received over the past year.

• I closed out my fellowship in the STOWE LAUNCH program receiving development support on my action/crime thriller feature script THE SEED (formerly RUSSIAN DOLLS)
• My crime thriller/heist feature LITTLE MOUSE received an 8 on the Black List and spent most of the summer on the Black List Top List and at #8 on the Coverfly Red List
• My psychological horror/erotic thriller THREE ON A MATCH made it to the Second Round of consideration for the Sundance Development Track making this the second time in a row my horror scripts have made the Second Round.

Lots of new projects coming out in 2025 and lots of exciting conversation happening around existing projects.  Multiple of my scripts are out to talent and hopefully there will be more exciting news to come in the coming months.

Easily one of the most exciting developments of 2024 was launching the FEMME FUTURE PERFECT podcast with Lauren Ferebee and Jaime Kawamoto.

It’s been a wild 2.5 months of writing scripts, crowdfunding our seed funds, working with amazing voice talent, and hearing everything come together with the truly stunning sound design work of the team at the Emmy award winning sound design studio Sound Rebels.

I couldn’t have asked for more amazing collaborators to bring this project to life and to go on this crazy adventure with.
